Christmas 2007

We had a big gathering this year for Christmas. One of Jim's brothers and his family could not be there and a few children were missing in some of the families but the majority of Jim's family came for Christmas. We had a great time celebrating Christmas together.

History

I have been married for twenty-five and a half years. I have a wonderful husband, six children and two grandchildren. My career is my family. I am currently taking piano lessons and learning German. Unfortunately they do not offer German classes in our city. I am trying to learn using computer programs and audio tapes from the library. I am a slow learner but determined. My husband speaks fluent German and I hope to be able to talk to him and understand him in the next couple of years. My husband is an informatics nurse and supervisor at our local hospital. My oldest, James,24, is married to Audra and has two children; James Micheal and Makayla. Next, Trissa,22, she works for the airline industry several states away. Laura, 21, is newly married to Craig. They are both working and going to school in another state. Jordan, 19, is living in Brazil for two years. He left in August of this year. Dustin, 16, is going to high school and taking a class at the college. Two of his high school class will earn him college credits. He is involved in sports all year. Last but not least, William, 15, also attending the local high school, rides the bus home because he does not do sports. We live in the country about ten miles out of a small town. We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which has a major influence in our lives. I am currently the Young Women's President in our ward. I attend an applique group once a month and a book club every other month. I enjoy getting together with my friend. I walk with my mother-in-law in the mornings which is a great way to start the day.

Getting Started

Here I am in the world of blog. I just found out you can create a book out of your blog. Just think, you can capture all your work and save it as a hard copy. This is a good way to document ones life in a fun and creative way. I enjoy the blogs of two young mothers as they relate their day to day life with their kids. My life no longer involves young children but I do have teenagers and three children in their twenties. I will include my grandkids even though they have a spot on their Mom's blog.
