Weekend at Dave's

Dustin and William enjoyed visiting with their cousins this past weekend in Puyallup.

 

Wrestling State Tournament

Dustin won his first match with a pin. He lost the second match and this picture is from the third match. He lost the third match and was out of the tournament. A great disappointment but Dustin went out wrestling well but got caught and pinned.

Regionals Saturday

Dustin earned 4th in Regionals. He is going to State next weekend in Tacoma. You will notice in the picture from Districts and Regionals the first four places are the same people. Our district is tough.

2A Regional Tournament

Regionals 1st day 2nd match

Dustin wrestled the #1 Seed from the other district and won 12-3.

Dustin wrestled Selah's Noble, their 5th place seed and won 7-3.

James Micheal enjoyed Districts

James and his family came to Districts both days. We enjoyed having them and they definitely kept us busy. We spent the night at their house Friday. James Micheal enjoyed going out on the mat during the lunch break and bugging all of the wrestlers. Everyone is James Micheal's friend. He spent a lot of time chasing a little girl up and down the bleachers.

Districts 2009

Districts was in West Valley this year. Dustin started out with a bye and then wrestled Deer Parks JV who beat out the #4 ranked wrestler. Dustin started Saturday wrestled the #1 ranked wrestler and did well until the third round. He got behind and seamed to loose hope. He came back and won the next two and wrestled for 3rd and 4th. He lost in the last 3 seconds. He is going to Ellensburg next weekend for Regionals.
William wrestled the #2 ranks wrestler first and then got a bye. He then wrestled a third time on Friday and lost just barely. He didnot advance to the next day of wrestling. He had fun this season.

The first, second and third were just as ranked but Dustin moved up to 4th from 5th.

Evan's Blessing

Evan Thomas Divis was blessed in the Moran Prairie Ward Sunday, February 1st by his dad. Rip and Leslie, Jodi, Steve and family, Grandma and Grandpa Divis, Audra's parents and her brother and family, Russ and Emily drove up from Yakima, and Jim, Dustin, William and I were all able to attend. We enjoyed dinner after wards and the leftovers of James' birthday cake. I spent the night at James' so that I could watch James Micheal and Makayla while Audra took Evan into the doctor's for his circumcision.

Quick Trip to Colorado

Jim and I flew to Denver Friday morning on the 11:00 flight arriving in Denver at 2:00. Trissa met us there with Gavin and we went shopping and got to see the outside of the house John is buying. We had a great time visiting with Trissa and Gavin and celebrated Trissa's birthday a month early. She didn't mind a bit when she unwrapped a Cricut. She has been wanting one for a long time. She loves to scrapbook. Trissa and Gavin took us to the airport Saturday morning for the 8:45 flight and then returned home to get ready for work. Jim and I arrived in Spokane just after 10:00 and enjoyed the day in Spokane. We went to James' and celebrated his birthday a few days early. The boys drove to Spokane after wrestling practice and spent the rest of the day playing video games with James and watched a movie. The boys spent the night at James' and Jim and I spent the night as Rip and Leslie's. James' friends, Russ and Emily, spent the weekend at James'.
