Trissa and Gavin finally got home Sunday afternoon. Gavin is eating well and has a little jaundice. I spent the night at the hospital Saturday and got to hold Gavin a lot. We are all glad to be home.

Gavin's second day

Gavin is a very good and patient little boy. He is not very interested in eating and it is very painful on his mom to nurse. He bites down before he starts to suck. In the evening the nurse brought in a breast pump and Trissa was able to pump some colostrum and then the nurse feed it to Gavin with a syringe. They do not want him to get used to a rubber nipple. Trissa is recovering and will be released from the hospital tonight.

Gavin Ryan Divis has arrived

November 20,2008
Trissa went into labor around 2:00 am. She checked into the hospital around 7:00 am. She had to push for over 2 hrs but his head finally came out with his eyes looking up at his daddy. It was 8:23 pm. No wonder it was such a hard delivery, he was posterior. Not only was he born face up but it was a little to the right. Trissa and John were very excited to see that they have a baby boy. They named him Gavin Ryan. I don't know how they will spell it but for now at least you know his name. He weighed 7lbs 14 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Both are doing well. They will stay in the hospital for 2 day because Trissa ran a slight temperature during delivery. Gavin is a little sweet heart. I will post some better pictures later.

Othello Playoff Game

Jim and I traveled to Othello. We dropped William off at James and made it to Othello by 1:15. Game time was 2:00. We started out with Dustin getting some good yardage against their huge defensive line. But they through an interseption and our defence took over. Our number 44 was back so Dustin did not play defence this game. Dustin made two of the three touchdowns. They lost 21 to 28. Their football season is over. Dustin starts wrestling practice today.

Colville Football Team going to Playoffs

Saturday, Colville is going to Othello for a 2:00 pm playoff game. This picture was on the front page of the Colville paper sports section. The heading read:
"Unbelievable - again"

Dustin Divis emerges from the fog and rain after touchdown.

Veteran's Day

The Boy's had the day off of school so I asked Jim to take the day off. He will have to work four 10hr days this week to make it up but we had fun yesterday. We moved all of our things out of our bedroom and put them in William's room. We moved William into Dustin's room. The boys were a big help in transporting the dry wall from the loft and new addition. They also help in holding up the dry wall and measuring.

Nov. 6th Colville vs Deer Park ANOTHER TIE

It snowed most of today. It was drizzling most of the game and very foggy. Deer Park made two touchdowns in the first quarter. It was 0-14 at the half. Dustin started playing Defense at the half because the other player got hurt. Dustin sacked the quarter back twice and tackle many for a loss of yardage. They finally made a touchdown in the fourth quarter. They finally gave the ball to Dustin in the fourth quarter and even passed him the ball. With 4.4 seconds left in the game they passed Dustin the ball and he ran in for a touchdown. They made the extra point and tied the score 14-14. Deer Park started on offense and Colville stopped them. Colville got the ball and Dustin made most of the yardage to the goal line and made the winning goal. Tonight's games determined who goes to the play offs. If Cheney won they would go but if they lost the winner of Colville vs Deer Park would go. West Valley beat Cheney 14-0 and Colville beat Deer Park so Colville is going to the play offs. Pullman is 1st in league with Colville 2nd. We were ranked 5th in the league at the beginning of the season. We even beat Pullman, remember. It was a very exciting minute and a half of the 4th quarter as Colville was on the 50 yard line with just over a minute to play. After returning home (The game was in Colville) it took us a long time to finally relax enough to go to sleep.

I've Been Tagged

My sister-in-law Laurie tagged me. I was grateful when Hillary and Audra did not tag me. I enjoyed reading all about them but don't know what to write about myself.

1. I want to learn how to write and speak German. I wanted to take German in High School but my mom said I should take Spanish. She said I would be able to use that language more. I ended up taking Spanish because it was an easy class and I wanted to get straight "A’s".
2. I did get straight "A’s" in my freshman, sophomore, and senior year. I got a "B" in Chemistry one quarter my junior year. I graduated with a 3.98 and was 5th in my class. All I did was homework. Yes, I was a nerd.
3. I am famous for my rolls. I learned how to make rolls early in High School but they didn't become famous until we moved to Washington.
4. I am taking piano lessons. I took piano a couple of years in grade school and got through part of the 2nd grade Thompson series. I have been taking lessons now over two years and I am just finishing the 2nd grade Thompson book. I have had one recital, which was a disaster. I get really nervous and my hands sweat and my mind doesn’t work so when someone took a picture while I was playing my piece, my mind went blank and I could play it anymore. I messed up on every piece after that. I even had them all memorized. So my goal is to be able to play the hymns so when Jim and I go on a mission I can play the piano if they need me to. After my fiasco at playing in public I don’t know why I keep trying to learn if I won’t be able to play in public.
5. I love making keepsakes with pictures. I have made several slide shows with music and now I am into making books. I have only made one but plan on doing more. I am not a photographer I just like working with pictures that others take. I take the time to Blog because you can make a book out of it when you are done.
6. I enjoy traveling the world. I like to see the history and culture of the different places I go.
7. I collect magnets. It is fun to get magnet at the different places I visit. Leslie made me a metal Memories framed board. It is now the home of all my magnets and displayed in my hall.

I now tag Julie Wehrli, Rachael Anderson, Annette Divis, Malinda May, Trissa Divis, Julie Fitzsimmons, Erika Thompson

33-6 Colville vs Riverside October 31st

Dustin started on Offence and Defence. He played well with a few good runs and two touchdowns. He is enjoying having more playing time during the games. Colville got a little sloppy and almost let Riverside get ahead but they held them when it was crucial and had the biggest score difference of the season. They played on Halloween night and the field was plagued by fog. It had rained during the day but during the game it was nice. The field was wet and slippery.
