Family Picture

Christmas Eve

We all worked hard Thursday and created our favorite treat.  James made fudge, Audra made bacon wrapped water chestnuts, Trissa made carmel rice krispie marshmallows, Laura made oreo truffles, Jim made martipan apple ring and I made rolls.  We all went to Grandma and Grandpa's for finger foods.  Grandpa read the Christmas story from Luke and also from 3 Nephi.  We opened gifts and enjoyed each others company.  We were too full to eat treats so we all gathered a plateful of treats and took them home for tomorrow.

Candy Trains

Wednesday night we all got together and made candy trains.  Jim got a late start but finished before everything was gone.

Jordan's Wedding

Jordan and Mariah were married December 22nd in the Spokane Temple.  There was a reception at the Riverside building at 6:00pm.  We had a family dinner at 4:00pm.  It was a wonderful day.

Working on the Bedroom

Jim has been working on the bedroom in his spare time. He is putting the moldings up now. I painted all the moldings last week. He just has a few more to put up and he needs to frame out the window and put in the electricity. I can't wait to get the furniture in.

Thankgiving

William, Dustin and I went to Rip and Leslie's for Thanksgiving. Dave, Annette and family were there along with Steve and Jodi's family and Grandma and Grandpa. We had a wonderful dinner at 2:00pm and enjoyed each other into the night. We all stayed at Rip's except for Jodi and Steve. I stayed up and ordered gifts on the Internet. Annette and I went shopping Friday morning. We had a lot of fun. We returned around 2pm starving and enjoyed left over turkey, rolls and salad. Jordan, Mariah, Jerry, Jill and Jim came down in time for dinner of turkey soup and salad. The women all went to JoAnne's until it closed at 9:00pm. I went home with Jim that night. Saturday Jim worked on our bedroom and I cut his hair. We dressed and headed back to Spokane for Mark's baptism at 11:00. We rain into some freezing rain and made it to the chapel a little late. We went to Jodi's after the baptism and had soup, rolls and chips. We said good-bye to Dave's family that afternoon. William, Jim and I went shopping at Lowe's, Home Depot and Winco. We arrived home in time for dinner. I worked on addressing Jordan's announcements and then went to bed. What a wonderful weekend.

Dustin's Eagle Court

Dustin's Eagle Court was held on Saturday. His good friend PJ was baptized earlier that afternoon and came to his court. We had apple crisp and ice cream for refreshments after the program. James took pictures. I made a slide show of his scouting adventures and we viewed it during the program. All of Dustin's brothers were able to attend.

Trissa's visit to Colville for her Dad's birthday

October 21st,
Trissa and Gavin flew in Wednesday morning. I drove down right after seminary and picked them up. We went to James and Audra's and found Audra sick and James home taking care of the children. We took James Micheal home with us; the rest of the family would come up on Saturday. Today was rainy so we had to play inside. We all went out to dinner when Jim got home. William sacrificed mutual for a party with his dad. We went over to his parents and took cake and ice cream to finish off our evening of fun.
William was our of school Thursday and so after going to his parent teacher student conference we went up to Tabby's and spent the day. Jill was there visiting and her sisters even came over for a visit. Isaac and Gavin are only a week apart.
Friday morning we were up at 3:30am so we could get to the airport for their 6:24 flight out. I came straight home and took William to a service project with the other priests. What a busy week.

Busy Weekend

Friday Jim and I went to Spokane and picked up the bedroom furniture he bought Thursday. We arrived home around 8:30pm. Jim's mom had called while we were in Spokane and ask us to pick the grapes because it was going to freeze. Jim and I dressed warm and found our flashlights and off to the garden we went. I held the flashlight and Jim picked the grapes. We got 3 bags of grapes. Saturday I canned 42 quarts of grapes and Jim worked on the bedroom and cleaned out the garage. I can now drive my car into the garage. I ask him earlier this week if I could store my car in the garage this winter so I wouldn't have to scrape my windows every morning at 5:45AM. Now he just needs to get electricity in the garage so the garage door opener will work. I have never done grape juice like this before. I hope the juice tastes good. The bottles of grapes don't look to pretty.

Making counter top's for Trissa and John

Jim and I flew to Denver Friday after seminary. We made the 11:00am flight out of Spokane and arrived at 2:00pm. We went to Home Depot for particle board and some other supplies. We stopped at Harbor Freight and bought a biscuit joiner and a roller. Trissa went to work at the airport and John came home. John worked with Jim into the night cutting and gluing. Saturday John went to work and Jim continued to work on the counters. I took care of Gavin and helped Jim. Gavin was very good to watch from his playpen. We needed some other supplies so we took a break and headed for the store. Trissa had to get to work so her friend came and got her so we could continue to use her car. After lunch we returned home to work some more. When John returned from work they continued to work into the night. They finished around 11:00 pm. Trissa returned home to find the new counter top in place. I was not good at taking pictures but here are some taken at the end of the project.

Having fun in Seminary

I have been released from Young Women's and I am now an early morning seminary teacher. This week we had fun drawing Lehi's Dream and celebrating Joseph Smith receiving the gold plates. On September 22ND we celebrated by showing them the actual size of the plates(6"x8") with one cookie and then I brought smaller cookies to eat. William frosted the cookies and Jim wrote the symbols during FHE the night before.
