Dustin and Lexie's Open House

Friday, August 16th we invited friends and family over to celebrate Dustin and Lexie's wedding.  They were married in April but did not have time to come home.  Lexie's parents and younger brother drove down for the event.  We served cheese cake and ice cream with candy on the tables.  We enjoyed all who came to celebrate with us.

Back to Colville we go

Tuesday we flew to Denver and then Spokane.  Trissa was working at the airport so we were able to visit with her a little.

It was good to be back home.  Mirjam made a German meal and we invited Grandma and Grandpa over.  We had fun making Kaesespaetzle and German Chocolate Cake.  She also served German chocolates.

Friday I went to a wedding with Mirjam. She was able to meet a few people knew from school.

Sunday Jordan made Pizza and we had a birthday party for Mirjam.  Tabby and her family were able to attend.

Monday Mirjam and I went to the airport and off she flew back home.  We had a wonderful time while she was here. Thanks Mirjam for spending your vacation with us!!

Shop until you drop in Salt Lake

Monday we went shopping for everything left on Mirjam's list.  When Laura's clan got tired my sister came after work and we shopped until dark.

 Mirjam bought Kendra a game for letting her stay in her room all week.  Kendra slept in a tent downstairs.

We invited family and friends for a BBQ Sunday afternoon. My parents, sister and cousin came along with two of Mirjam's friends from high school.

Saturday morning I got up early and took Jim to the airport.  He flew to Denver and spent the day with Trissa and Gavin before returning to the airport to fly home.  He didn't get home until 2 am because of flight delays.
Saturday morning after returning from the airport Craig drove us up Provo Canyon. We wanted to hike to Timpanogos Cave but the tour was full so we just hiked up a trail.  In the afternoon we drove to Seven Peaks water park in Provo and spend several hours in the water having fun.
