Jordan has one more month on his mission

2009 July 8th

Hey there family of mine

So how is everybody doing? I’m doing great! This last week went very well. We had a baptism! Yes lets start the month with a fine baptism. We had a hard time this first week in finding people to teach. It is a new area for the two of us, but we are working hard and yesterday we found a special lady. She had received the Elders some 15 years ago and has been reading the Book of Mormon ever since. She says that the Lord always helps her understand what is written. We are going to help her go to church this week because she has never been, but once she goes she will be touched by the Spirit and have the desire to be baptized in the true church of Jesus Christ. Other then her, we really don’t have many people to teach. Tomorrow we have a lot of appointments marked and I hope then we will have more people to teach. We had our district meeting yesterday. There are 2 elders and 1 sister that will be going home with me. They are great. We had a great meeting. I have been working my best these past couple of days so that my companion can see how the work is done, so I’ll be flying high until the 11th. I love this work and am kind of scared of August. Just thinking about it makes me shiver. I love each and every one of you. Have a fantastic week. Oh yeah, I killed a chicken this morning; we are going to eat it for lunch. It is a treated chicken that a member gave us. Other then that, all is well.

I love you all

Yours truly
Elder DIVIS o Brasileiro!!!!!!!!!
