2009 Colville Prom

Colville's prom was held April 25th.
Dustin and his friends got together at Jackson's house for dinner at 6:00 before the prom. Jim took some pictures of them. They had a wonderful dinner prepared by Jackson's dad. After they ate they stayed and visited until 9:00 and then went to the dance. The dance was over at 11:00 and they went to Janesa's and played games.

Chelsea and Dustin

Jackson thought it would be cool to shake the sparkling cider even though the cap had already been opened. The result was an explosion of sticky liquid all over everything, including the girls dresses and hair. They were all good sports about it and laughed.

Colville went to Rogers Saturday. Colville scored two goals in the first five minutes. They were able to hold off Rogers until the second half. They scored a point and we in turn scored another point just minutes before the end of the game. This is Colville's first win. They were excited.

Soccer

Dustin is back playing soccer.  His calf is healing although he still puts heat on it morning and night.  He is playing defense.  The team played well on Saturday against Clarkston.  They lost after a double overtime and a shootout.

The loss of Loretta Kathleen Dege

Jodi went into premature labor on March 31 and despite everything the doctors did Jodi delivered a little girl. She was 14oz. She lived about an hour and forty-five minutes. She was only 23 weeks pregnant. They had a graveside ceremony on April 11th. She was buried in the Loon Lake Cemetery between grandma and grandpa Robison. Both of Steve's sisters and their families and his mom were able to come. Rip, Leslie, Jenna, Sarah, Dave, Cameron, Jennifer, Nicole, Uncle Al and Uncle Ted and many other friends attended the event. Dave spoke and Steve gave the dedicator prayer. The children sang "I am a child of God" and we all sang "God be with you till we meet again". Jim dug the grave(Friday). William helped carry the casket to the grave. Steve and Jim lowered the casket into the grave. Jim and Dustin filled it in. We all went to Jodi's ward building for a wonderful lunch.

Soccer at Riverside

William, Chelsea, Jim and I went to Riverside High School and watched the soccer game. Dustin played defense most of the game but got to play striker at the end. His calves cramped up after being put in as a striker and he had to come out so Jim could massage the cramps out of his calves. They ended up losing in overtime, 1-2.

Soccer against Pullman

Saturday's "away" game turned into a "home" game because of snow in Pullman. I was excited to hear the news Friday night. The next three games will be away and they haven't played since last Thursday. Pullman got three goals in the first 2 minutes of the game. After taking the goalie out and replacing him with another, Pullman did not score again. The final score 0-3.

The ground is sinking

Last week we found this hole around our well head. Where did the dirt go? Quite the mystery. We haven't checked to see if our well still works. Luckily we use Dad's well across the field. This is our emergency water, Jim bought and installed a hand pump last fall.

Little Snow Storm

Saturday was one of those weird weather days. We had sunshine with clear blue skies one minute and then the clouds would come it and snow like crazy then the clouds would leave and the sun would come out again. It did this at least twice.

Elder Jordan Divis

Jordan is in the Campinas Brazil Mission, he is serving near Campinas with his companion Elder Harper. They just had transfers and Jordan is still with Elder Harper. They have become best friends and are enjoying their time together. They have made a goal to baptize 10 people this month. He is enjoying his mission and would like time to slow down. He will be returning this August.

Sebatião and his daughter were baptized by the ward mission leader (the one in the middle). Elder Harper is on the left and Elder Divis on the right.
